Our highly qualified and experienced Clinic Nurse Specialists from each of the day hospitals, present education lectures and seminars on many aspects to various groups such as Probus, Rotary and Retirement Villages. These are always well supported by the community and recognised as a ‘must to attend’.
As part of maintaining cutting edge technology at the day hospitals, PresMed arranges for replaced equipment to be donated to needy communities both within Australia and to 3rd world countries. In the event of high risk surgery that needs to be performed on patients living outside of Australia, PresMed has arranged with ROMAC (Rotary Medical Aid for Children) to allow its day hospitals to be used for surgery and that a number of our Surgeons and Anaesthetists will volunteer their skills and time to be of assistance in this worthy cause.
PresMed recognises the responsibility of its day hospitals to assist and protect the environment where practically possible. To this end, there is agreement to recycle on a daily basis, reduce waste, minimise consumption and reduce risk through Risk Management and Improving Performance programs.
An initiative to involve members of the community is encouraged by inviting them to meet at the day hospitals, have interaction and input from them on behalf of the consumers and public in order to drive improvements to the patient experience at the centre.
PresMed Australia operates an online Optometrist education website called Optometrist Online CPD www.optomonline.com.au
