Today is International Nurses Day, and to celebrate, we took part in the Australian College of Nursing’s national nurse breakfast. We treated our wonderful nurses to a heap of pies, sandwiches cakes and of course, coffee.
International Nurses day commemorates the birthday of the famous nurse, Florence Nightengale and is celebrated every year on May the 12th. It is a day where we show our appreciation to all the hard work that our nurses do to make us feel comfortable and safe on our hospital journeys. In Australia, the Australian College of Nursing provides a celebratory breakfast to mark the occasion.
We really cannot mention how much we value our nursing staff and hope that this breakfast shows a small token of our gratitude.
