The construction of the new Chatswood Eye Hospital has reached a new milestone on August 4 with the pouring of the first concrete slab for the basement of the new building. “This is an exciting phase of the development as the site will now commence major construction work and start to come out of the ground“ says Carl Van Selm, Project Manager of Probuild.
The new hospital will have six operating theatres, 16 recovery trolleys, 14 day surgery recliner chairs and four overnight beds and will be a centre of excellence for eye surgery, operating room technologies and private hospital environments. Building commenced in April 2014 and is on track for completion by the end of 2015.
