Dr Donaldson Receives Australia Day Honours

Congratulations to Epping Surgery Centre’s Dr Craig Donaldson who was awarded a Member of the Order (AM) in recognition of his significant service to medicine in the field of Ophthalmology and to professional eye health bodies. Dr Donaldson was a founding member of Epping Eye Surgery in 2004.

Australia’s distinctive honours system began in 1975 with the creation of the Order of Australia, to recognise service to the nation or humanity. The award is based on Community nominations, providing an avenue to give honours to recognise, celebrate and say thank you to those who make a difference, those who achieve their best and those who serve others.

Dr Donaldson is a Staff Specialist at Westmead Children’s Hospital and a visiting medical officer at Sydney Children’s as well as Sydney Eye Hospital where he is head of the strabismus unit which services adults and children. He operates privately at Epping Surgery Centre.

Dr Donaldson continues a keen interest in general ophthalmology including cataract surgery as well as his sub-speciality interest in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
